Just Being Myself

Whew! About time I actually updated this thing, and not a moment too soon...

Some interesting things have happened since my last update. I've downloaded some new music and started on a new writing project. It'll be a gift for my loving Thomas when our Anniversary approches, but I'm not going to give anything good away. =P

So far things have been okay. I was able to make a little bit of money earlier in the month by sitting with an old woman. Of course, the money didn't last long but it was put to good use. ^^;

However, as the month passed on things stared to get more hectic with my family. After we visited Ann's mother who's staying in a nursing home on Sunday, Ann wasn't quite herself. She was very emotional when she left, so much that it effected her memory. Because of that I wasted the last $20 I had on a phone card only to loose it just after we left the store. -__-;

Monday rolled around and Ann seemed alright, sick but alright. But she was still upset and it cost her after loosing something important from the store she bought.

It was then Dad and I decided that she needed to go back home and spend some personal time for herself. Hopefully that will help her calm down and relax...

But because of that I'm unable to go to the library as I have been doing lately to check my messages and all. That, and we've just has a bit of snow and sleet hit us yesterday.

Some birthday this will be huh? XD

But of the good side, I got one birthday present that I've been wanting for a while now, a PSP! =D =D

For now there's not much I can do with it, it needs a Memory Card and a USB cable before I can transfer any of my music and video files onto my PSP. But I'm loving it so far, heck I've already given it a nickname: Sorin (Only Thomas will get this )

So, we'll see what happens when the big day arrives. The day I offically turn 21. It dosen't seem that long ago that I had just turned 20 really. Man, time flies...

I hope you guys are doing alright out there yourselves. Esepcially you Thomas, hang in there love. ^_^

1) Have you met Thomas in person yet?

Sadly Thomas and I have not met in person yet. But both mine and his parents are aware that we're dating, so that's something ^^;

2) What career would you like to pursue, given the chance?

Well, that's something I'm still deciding on. Personally, I'd love the chance to do some voice acting. I've got a unique voice (or as some poeple tell me XD)

3) Do you want to have kids someday?

Yeah, I'd like to have kids someday and hopefully it'll be with Thomas ^^

4) What's your favourite novel/book?

My fav novel/book? That's a tough one...I guess I'd have to say Dragonbards. I forget who wrote it, but it's one of my fav books of all time!

5) Who's your favourite actor/actress?

5. That's also a tough one too, because I have no favorite XD

It's been forever since I last posted in this thing, huh? Well, it dosen't help that I do more posting at DA than I do here but at least now I can update this with something.

Other than having an interesting October (involving going to fairs and festivals with friends) things have been going smoothly...or as smoothly as they can get when it comes to me.

That all changed around November when the internet connection on my computer started to screw up again, this time to the point where the modem no longer works. I'm still trying to understand just what caused it to not work and find out what I can do to fix it.

But when you're someone with limited resorces, fixing something like a computer can take a lot of time.

So, for now I've been making many visits to the local library in order to use their computers. At least I'm able to do all my Rp posting and check everything via the library. But it's not the same at home, sometimes I feel cut off from everything when I'm stuck at home.

But it does give me a chance to catch up on some things that I've neglected to finish, mainly my stories. With all the free time I have on my hands at home I need to do something to pass the time and what better way to do that than to write?

And now with Christmas approching I'm hoping a certain job will come along that will help me out financially at this point. I'm looking into possibly getting a PSP for Christmas/my birthday (my birthday isn't far off from Christmas) or possibly even a Laptop (although that seems highly impossible, even though I could really use one).

For now, all I can do is hold out until something happens. Either I can get the problems on my computer fixed, or by sheer luck I can get my hands on a Laptop or a PSP.

Well, at least I hope you guys have a great Christmas this year and whatnot. At least there are some things I don't have to worry too much about, that makes Christmas for me a little more enjoyable.

...How on Earth do you guys manage to find and land jobs? O_o

I ask this because, to the joy of my friends around me, I went to an interview for Zaxby's Tuesday. I put in an application the previous weekend and was told to return on Tuesday for the interview.

I feel as though I did well, I answered all the questions truthfully. But I'm afraid I may not get the job because I have no previous work experience...

...and looking like I'm 16-18 dosen't help either -_-

I can understand finding work is hard, but getting turned down on everything you apply for is rediculous! I might be getting my hopes on this too soon, but I don't know.

But how am I suppose to get experience if no one will give me the chance?

As for Job Corps, after learning about soem negetive things about the center in my state I've reconsidered going to that center. I'm seriously reconsidering going at all period o_o;

But, if my friend is right, I can try to talk to a Job Corps Councilor about going to a different center in a different state. At this point, joining Job Corps will remain as a last ditch idea because I don't want to leave trouble only to end up in trouble again.

The past week my Dad's girlfriend and I have been putting in apllications at just about every place we can think of. We've visited job centers to put in applications there and look for possible jobs to apply for as well.

We still have a couple of places to put applications in and applications to return as well.

On the plus side (other than putting in job applications) I've been spending more time at her house rather than at home. Its really nice to actually spend time away from home, I enjoy getting away from the bastard of a brother I have.

Only downside is that there's no computer access, unless I go to the library which is only a short walk away. But that library is small and has limited resources, plus the librarians can easily see what I do on the computers. x_x

Speaking of computers...

As of lately, my brother has been spending way more time on our home computer than I do. Its because he uses the internet to visit his MySpace page and look up girls on it, not to mention the other things he looks up on it.

He's also been playing this Roman Empire game, I don't see how he can play a game like it without getting bored, I get bored from just watching him @_@

Because of that and the job hunting its put a strain on both Thomas and me. We haven't had a whole lot of time to spend together let along Rp as we normally do, I feel bad because I haven't spent enough time with my love

Damn, what I wouldn't give to have a laptop of my own right now... ;__;

NOTE: As for why I've ignored this journal for months now, I don't know... but I figured I needed to update this so I finally did. Life hasn't been too kind to me this summer so unless you read my journal entries on DA and know what's going on, don't ask...

Well, this is the first entry in my new journal. For now I'm still getting everything set up here, but I do have something to update here.

I did write a short story and added it to my http://ashyfanfiction.livejournal.com/. Its mainly a short story about a character I use in a Digimon RPG fourm.

I'm still getting icons added to my journal, is anyone willing to make me some Spyro icons? I can provide the pics for you if you can do it (I just need to find some screenshots from some of the games XD)

I'll update later when I actually have something worthwhile to add here XD
